Mark Allen Myles

Mark Allen Myles, age 64, of Clyde, OH passed away on December 18, 2023, at the University of Toledo Medical Center. Mark was born on June 21, 1959, the son of Michael and Ruth (Wassmund) Myles.

Mark graduated from St. Marys Memorial High School in St. Marys, OH before moving on to attend Bowling Green State University.

Mark was a devoted son, husband, father, grandpa and friend. He was a member of the Free and Accepted Masons (Monticello Lodge #244), Eastern Star-Aletha Chapter, Shriners, Jeepsters and Hillbillys. He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Clyde, OH. Mark devoted his early years to helping the mentally challenged and giving them a fulfilling life while at their group homes. Once retired, he spent his free time doing puzzles, working in his garage, and taking care of his yard. His true calling came when he became a Grandpa. Mark was already known as the "baby whisperer". Any family get together with a new baby and Mark held that baby first. 

When Elijah and Dalton came into the world, Mark made sure they would never want for anything. He spoiled those boys with homemade popcorn, reading lots of books, and a "playground" all of their own. Mark kept his grandfather's bed in the living room for the boys to have sleepovers with him. Multiple Saturday mornings Elijah woke his mom to inform her that his suitcase was packed for Grandpa's house, in anticipation of spending the day/night with him. They will always be Grandpa's boys. 

In addition to his mother, Ruth (Wassmund) Myles, Mark is survived by his wife, Traci Myles whom he married on May 12, 1990, in Bowling Green, OH; daughter, Jenna Jess of Clyde, OH; step-son, Josh (Kelly) Eads of Castleton, NY; grandsons, Elijah and Dalton Jess of Clyde, OH and Blake, Luke, and Kane Eads of Castleton, NY; and siblings, Marcia Myles of Flagstaff, AZ, Martin Myles of O’Brien, FL, and Alexander Myles of Phoenix, AZ.

Mark is preceded in death by his father, Michael Myles, and his brother, Michael Crist.

Visitation will be held on December 28, 2023, from 3:00-5:00pm until a Masonic and memorial service begins at 5:00pm at Foos Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 504 E. McPherson Highway, Clyde, OH 43410.
