Victor "Vic" Mendiola, Jr.

Victor “Vic” Mendiola, Jr., went home to be with the Lord August 7, 2017 at Stein Hospice, Sandusky, surrounded by his family.  He was born April 5, 1953 the son of Victor and Carolina Mendiola in Asherton, TX.

Vic was a kind, very loving son, brother and uncle and a very good friend to those who knew him.  He was an avid outdoor enthusiast, enjoying camping, hiking, canoeing and fishing with his niece and nephews, who adored him.  His passion for the Blues and Rock & Roll enabled him to become extremely knowledgeable in music, being once a band member himself and played a big role in helping promote big name rock bands for concerts in the Fremont area.  He was a huge fan of the Rolling Stones, attending many concerts and acquiring a collection of all Stones memorabilia that he was extremely proud of.  He was also a big fan of the Ohio State Buckeyes.  His abundant love for his family, nephews speaks volumes of his loving generous heart. 

Those who remain to cherish Vic’s memory are his mother, Carolina Guerra Mendiola, sisters, Sylvia Montano, Mary Mendiola, Hilda (David) Walsh, niece & nephews; Mario (Heather) Montano, Brett Mendiola, Cary Rendon, Holly (Michael) Creider, Chad (Nicolet) Perry, great nephews; Caden, Conor, and Jackson Perry , Damon Montano, nieces; Alexandrea and Isabel Montano, Jessica Creider and great nephew Sabiastian.

He was preceded in death by his father, Victor Mendiola, Sr., brother, Hector Mendiola and brother in law, Raymond Montano.

Friends will be received from 11:00 am until the funeral service begins at 1:00 pm, Friday, August 11, 2017, at Foos & Foos Funeral Service, 151 Yorkshire Place, Bellevue.  Burial will follow at Bakertown Cemetery, Clyde.
