Geneva Manasco, 85, of Bellevue passed away Saturday, March 25, 2017 at the Stein Hospice Care Center. She was born April 1, 1931 in Haleyville, Alabama the daughter of Otto and Beatrice (Hulsey) Postell.
Throughout her life she worked as a Nurse’s Aide, a private caretaker, and also at the GE Lamp Plant. She was a member of Providence Baptist Church and 4 County Young-at-Heart. She enjoyed playing cards and bingo, crocheting, and watching romance movies. She loved flowers, spending time with her family and cooking.
She is survived by her son, Gary (Brenda) Manasco of Bellevue; daughters, Teresa (Dave) Soldano of Bellevue and Martha (Hal) Bradberry of Haleyville, AL; Grandchildren: Brandy (Chad) Yates, Dana (Brandon) Williams, John (Monica) Manasco, Erica (Robert) Ward, and Alison (Scott) O’Neal; 8 great grandchildren; and siblings: Pauline Vorva, James Postell, Charles Postell, Luevoise Berry and Donnie Postell.
In addition to her parents, Geneva is preceded in death by her husband, E.M. Manasco, whom she married December 25, 1953 in Mississippi; a daughter, Wanda Sue Manasco; and 10 siblings.
Friends will be received on Wednesday, March 29, 2017 from Noon until a funeral service begins at 2 p.m. at Foos & Foos Funeral Service, 151 Yorkshire Place, Bellevue. Burial will follow at Bellevue Cemetery.
